I am offering an original (not a reproduction) Quartermaster’s Telescope. Spyglasses of this type were used by the quartermaster detailed to steer the ship. Based on the design, the materials used, and the exceptional quality it was likely built during the early 1900's in the United States. Both lenses have slide-in lens protectors, which indicates it could be older than my estimate. It measures 20½" closed to 35¼” extended, has a 2½” aperture (object end), and weighs 3 pounds. The main tube has been line wrapped at some time in the past. The telescope does not show any major damage and has a reasonably clear view, but does show years of sea duty. This nautical artifact is a rare and functional piece maritime history. Additional Nautical Items Available - Please Call Cliff @ 760-736-8101 For More Information.
